Accessibility is an official and a practical priority to Saanich residents, and public buildings are conscientiously seeking uniform accessibility through establishing viable entrances and exits, and upgrading existing facilities to meet higher standards.  Saanich seeks a leadership role in community development, and has been an original partner in the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia’s Safer Cities Project.
